COS SEMS Certificates Expanded to All Offshore Companies
The new document, COS 2-05, Requirements for COS SEMS Certificates, now gives all offshore companies the opportunity to receive a COS SEMS Certificate if they meet the requirements of the document.
- Establishes, implements, and maintains a SEMS that meets the requirements of API RP 75;
- Participates in a SEMS audit by a COS-accredited Audit Service Provider (ASP); and
- Implements Corrective Action from audit findings.

2019 Annual Performance Report
The Center for Offshore Safety presents its Annual Performance Report (APR) for the 2019 Reporting Year. This report represents more than 44 million work hours from the US Outer Continental Shelf for 2019. In addition to statistics on safety performance and lessons learned from incidents and events, this year’s APR includes findings from 47 SEMS Audit reports submitted to BSEE between 2017-2019.
